Welcome to the cut-throat world. Buyers are more demanding these days and he won't be the last one you have come across. There will be many more. It just like shopping in a supermarket and comparing prices.
There are many setbacks for sellers wanting to sell their products online.
1)You are likely to come across a fellow seller who impersonate himself as a buyer in order to gather more information from others.
2) You are also likely to come across fraudsters.
3) You are also likely to get some buyers whom are willing to take a gamble by paying you a deposit upfront and when your cargo is shipped

your balance payment is nowhere to be found.
I have come across the some problems as you have. I spent a lot of time communicating with 2 buyers from Sierra Lionne and US. Just when I was about to sent them the samples, they told me to send it to Ghana. But after a thorough check I found out that both the DHL account number given to me was hijacked from someone in Taiwan. I didn't go about trying to kill myself over that, it all part of the business game. You win some, you lose some.
If your proported buyer did not get back to you, don't get so upset. It's not the end of the world. Keep searching, instead of only relying on one website, broaden your search. I am sure you will find some good and genuine buyers. There are millions of buyers and sellers around and if you can offer buyers good products and service, you should get there. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack but keep trying and who knows you may come across a gold mine. But a word of advise, there are lots of buyers and sellers out there whom are trying to take someone for a ride, watch your steps there minefileds and goldmines out there. One wrong step and it can be costly.
