Buyer who interested in my product but can't pay the sample.

One of my potential customers asked me to send samples to him,at first,he just said he interested in one of our products,i told him that we offer the samples free,but he should pay for the mailing,then he replied me with that he is not in the position to pay for it because they don't have the DHLaccount,and showed that he intereated in all our items,and asked me to send the samples to them as soon as possible.

What should i do ?

Replying to [blue angel 2006]:Dear Angel , in my opion ,i think he is a sample hunter , he is not a real buying , if he is really interested in your product, there are many ways for him to pay , not just DHL , so I think you need to suggest him to pay in other ways , otherwise,please give up this customer .

To make business must pay some each other,don't trust him if he not pay money to you.I have been cheated by a customer who agree to accept freight collect and give us the UPS account no.,after we sent the sample,he accept and not pay the freight.Later UPS ask us to pay freight.How can do business like this.[em8]

I THINK IT'S APPALLING THAT THE CHINESE COMPANIES EXPECT PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS TO SPEND $150.00 ON A FEDEX OR DHL COURIER FOR A $US2.00 PRODUCT "SAMPLE" OUT OF CHINA.


THE CHINESE MANUFACTURERES ARE TOO LAZY TO GET THEIR PRODUCT PACKED AND GO TO THE POST OFFICE AND POST IT. IT'S EASIER FOR THE LAZY BUGGERS TO PHONE THE COURIER [em5]

I HAVE STARTED TELLING CHINESE SUPPLIERS TO GET THEIR ACTS TOGETHERAND DO AS I ASK, NOT WHAT THEY WANT.

THEY ARE THIEVES IN THEIR OWN RIGHT AND THE REST OF THE WORLD IS LETTING THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.

Ya,sometimes there are some customer they need to see and evaluate the sample of our product first and then send to be view by their client or end user, I also had encounter this kind of problem. For me the best solution is to achieve a win-win situation between each party. Try to negotiate with your customer by bear the cost 50% - 50% for courier.

Replying to [blue angel 2006]: Kindly be aware of sample collectors now days. Any geneuine company if they are interested in any item will bear one way for samples, either pay for sample or shipping.

If the buyer refuses to pay that means if he cant bear that cost of sample or shipping, there is no gurantee that the company has funds to place any order. Be careful with these sort of elements as they are making International Trade difficult for companies those are genuine.

I CAN AFFORD THE PRICE OF THE SAMPLE but the suppliers dont want to go to the Post Office because they are bleeding the world of US Dollars.

I FIND ALL ASIAN, INDONESIAN, MALAYAN,JAPANESE, CHINESE COMPANIES THE SAME.

IF THEIR PROODUCT IS ANY GOOD THEN THEY SHOULD BE SHOUTING IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS.

TROUBLE IS, MOST OF IT IS JUNK AND WONT STAND UP TO INTERNATIONAL SCRUTINY............ELECTRICALLY OR ANY OTHER SUSTAINED TEST IT MAY BE SUBJECTED TO.

TELL A COMPANY YOU WANT TO EVALUATE THEIR PRODUCT UNDER YOUR NORMAL OPERATING CODITIONS AND SITUATION AND THEY RUN LIKE SCARED RABBITS. [em6]

in my opinion the person interested in your products should atleast pay for shipping.Its not like the person made previous orders with you.what if they dont buy your products then your in a negative from shipping costs.You are willing to send samples for free,well thats good enough .I dont think thats the best way to start off doing business with anyone.Take care you are wise in seeking counsel,Follow whats inside of you and let that be your guide.[em20]
