Post 12 of 44
Replying to [Chinasolutions]:[em1]Hello!Glading to know you from the alibaba.com!
I think as a buyer, you have more opportunity to choice supplier, also this is a broblem!
Not only wait for reply, but also you have to calculate various of the product!
Now i receive more inqury about the umbrella that buyer has asked Alibaba to send the inquiry to all relevant Gold Suppliers everyday!
If you want to buy the umbrella, the best way as you say,you should make a play, and description of the umbrella detail you need ,so the supplier could offer the FOB price as soon as possible!

Replying to [Chinasolutions]:so particular.and it very available.
but in my thought, the buyer should send the sample to the
supplier and let the supplier making a proof.after check the quality,
and agree with the payment terms ,delivery time, the quantity,it 's the main points.then arrange a person to supervise the producing progress and the product when it finished.
above is my points,i think if the buyer can offer the sample which he or she wants,it's will become more simple to contact one time by onr time.
do you think so?my friend.

Make a list of all of the parts that you want to buy. Example:

Item No., Part Name, Description / Sizes / Grade Test requirements / Key Defect (problem points), Weight, Raw Materials Used, Tooling, Packing Demand, Annual Purchase Volume & Target Price Per Unit, Total Price.

Once you have this list and have completely analyzed your product / busineess plan then you can proceed. You need to write down exactly what your looking for in a supplier what is most important: quality, price, relationship and so on. Make a list of questions to ask the supplier and create a database for a benchmark. If your quantities are small and you will need to consolidate containers it is better to work with a trade company. This way you can put 20 or so different positions in 1 container.

Make a list of trading companies and factories that produce and trade motorcycle parts. Contact them and record the results. Answer your supplier questions when contacting.

The factories that are your bench mark. Contact them ask them for a busines license. Check it carefully then proceed to come to china for a 10 days and vist the companies.

If your really in china. then go to the factory and pick your sample up right from the factory in person. You have to go there to performa walkthrough at least prior to any purchase.

If not get the sample agreement stamped. Anything without a stamp on it in China is worthless.

Hi Prav,

1. Know exactly what you want to buy then make a database in Excel. Your Item No, Product Name, Product Description Size, Dimensions, Raw Materials Used, No. of Parts and so on. Weight of Product & Parts, Assembly Process, Key Defect Points,Purchase QTY Plan & Target Price.

2. Make a list of what you want in prospective suppliers: What is important: quality / price / delivery time / your payment terms / and so on. Typical payment terms in china are FOB 30% and 70% against documents. Any more deposit then 30% is not acceptable.

3. Make a list of questions that you want to ask the suppliers and contact them. Record the results. Select the best suppliers. Then ask for a business license and proceed from there.

4. when entering into any relationship at factory with the supplier you should at least draft a mem of understanding stating the rules for future cooperation.

If you need a large product range with sevaral small qty's you will have to use a trading company. this will raise the cost of your goods. but they will be able to consolidate the goods for you at the port. Make sure that they can do this. I would try to purchase 1 20ft container of goods and put everything in the container.

You should pay FOB price the trading company will pay the factory EXW. Remember your contract is now with the trading company for the goods. So you must ask them to show you the factory contract to make sure all your quality demands, and product description + some form of dispute resolution is included in the contract. If the trading company is not willing to do this you better not do any business with them.

Best advice: Make sure all documents are signed and stamped with the company seal, prior to accepting any documents. DO NOT ACCEPT ANY DOCUMENTS THAT ARE NOT SIGNED OR SEALED AND GET THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS WITH THE ORIGINAL STAMP.
