[em12]This question is for the people who are importing goods from China.
Even I am not an old sales, but I have had the conclusion that finding a real buyer in the world market is so difficult for our factories. We endeavor a lot, especially our sales work day and night. We ask a favorable price from the boss, and then send the quotation ASAP,but after that just like a stone drop into the sea,the person who sent the inquiries are disappeared in the mist.I want to give a call, but it's a big expanse for our small factories if every day we have about one hundred inquiries.
Do some importers give me some advice.Thank you in advance.

I have got quillet for this phenomenan that they all are business and won't reply unless the quotation is right for their business.

Aha, what a good excuse! They require suppliers work hard to satisfafy them but give nothing even if a simple response of rejection to stop the suppliers' useless effort.

Sales will depend on the products, the supplier, the sales department, how you market these,

When people go to the fairs in China, look at the booths where many people go, see what they are selling, and see the booths where the sales people fall alseep, this can tell a story.

not all would be as clear, some suppliers do not spend much money on the booth, like large area, nice light, clolour signs, buyers need to be directed.

If your products are priced right, your the factory, can export them to most countries, and have upto date designs, if you get so many buyers sending you mails, you should convert some easy to sales, so maybe you need to look at your sales department, how they all start the communication process.

If i was in your sales team and was happy with your company profle i know i would get results, only by using my sales background, show the buyer what they want to see, tell them what they want to hear, no more.

I like to see a good range of products, and well set out, good communication, quality, how they can work with me to start business, warranty, and after i would like to visit them to see more, you can never know how the business is until you see them first hand.

Today i see commerical doors being made in China, one factory use old machines and the process is hit and miss the next is so much better with auto machines, and the product quality shows.

Replying to [sinohose]: Hi sinohose Problem is as a serious importer the cost and time set-up for a product is huge You only import after you have compared the ex china price to the local price add marketing and distributor costs and import duties and so on the easy part is finding a product. Its perhaps rude to say forget it too hard, but also rude not to say . Also you can lose face saying we may be too small to handle this as most Chinese companies are so large. It may be better to just email the customer thanking them for there inquiry and simple form to return asking why no order was forthcoming. As an importer I always like to jump on the plane and see suppliers anyway after basic filtering,

Replying to [sinohose]:I buy from China. many times I also ask for pictures + prices + info. I really always get the answer but many times not exactly on my question. I ask for pictures in jpg format - then I get a nasty excell file with a long list but no pictures.
Doing pictures with the EU means that you have to do excatly 100% what the customer is asking. If not then he will have no convidence that delivery of the order ( if any ) will be 100% .
So I advice all Chinese comoanies to listen carefully what the client is asking and then do 100% what has been asked.
