Just curious if any had dealings with WARC (west africa refugees commission) or Benin Republic Chambers of commerce & Industry. They placed an order with my company and told us that we need to register produucts with the chamber of commerece. When I told them this sounded like fraud, they assured me it wasn't. Has any one else dealt with this company. Just curious if this is standard procedure in West Africa. I would like to hear any opinions any has to offer.

This sounds like a common fraud to me.  If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.   Use the "search resources" function and type in the keyword "Benin" and you'll see just how many scams come from that area.   I wouldn't give them ANY information till you are 100% sure of their legitimacy.

Hope it helps

we have also received an offer to supply our products to the West Africa Refugees Commission via an agency and asked to pay for the registration fee before the contract is allocated to us. It does seem a bit doubtful to us as well, therefore culd you please tell us if you could confirm the authenticity of your offer, or were there any other contacts or did you pay anything or lost money there?
is there something fishy?

Hello, we have been contacted by a Wazhine Ahmed who claims to be working for Sub-Sahara African Dev. Agency in developing a contract for our product. We have been asked to pay a nominal fee for registration and lodging of legal documents etc. All sounds very official.
Whilst I haven't heard of the company you speak of, it sounds very similar to our situation which we are still trying to determine if its legitimate or not.
It's a sad world when you can't trust anyone.

Hi I also received something similar for a customer in Togo. One of the site http://www.joewein.de/sw/419-phone-bj.htm is mentioned WARC as Scam. Can you please tell me about ur experience if the company is geniune or fake ? I believe you had posted your query last year and should have got something about it. Appreciate if you can share the same with us. Please email me at rishi.tayal@roya-middleeast.ae .

Thanks & Regards
