20 projects including automotive parts and components, machinery and equipment manufacturing settled in Zengcheng simultaneously. When the projects are put into production, an estimated annual increase of over 90 billion industrial value will be gained in Zengcheng.
Zengcheng will focus on the development of the Guangzhou East (Zengcheng) Automobile Industry Base, and will integrate the industrial concentration zones in the south of Zengcheng to build a national innovation industrial park.
In recent years, according to Guangzhou's Eastward Strategy, Zengcheng vigorously develops advanced manufacturing industries such as the vehicle, motorcycle and auto parts industries. Now it is one of the three major automobile industry zones in Guangzhou.
The Guangzhou East (Zengcheng) Automobile Industry Base will cover an area of 22 square kilometers. The estimated total investment will be 5 billion Yuan. Now the first phase of an area of 6 square kilometers is under construction with the goal of becoming the core region of the automobile industry in eastern Guangzhou. The base will focus on the development of the clustered industry of motorcycle parts and components, as well as high-quality economy. It will strive to reach the goal of an industrial output value of 100 billion Yuan in five years.
