The total sales for Guangzhou's enterprises amounted to USD56 million, up by 3%, on October 25, the first day of Phase 2 of the China Import and Export Fair (CIEF).

Although the Phase 2 of CIEF is focused on products like crafts and daily necessities, Guangzhou's enterprises spared no efforts to promote their products and brought in considerable profits

For instance, the adhesive tapes produced by Guangzhou Hongchang Adhesive Factory that won over sixty items of independent property rights boast profit that is twice higher than that of common similar products  

As the supplier of daily chemical for the 2008 Olympics Games, Guangzhou Liby Enterprise Group Co., Ltd made full use of the coming Olympics to promote its products and received orders of nearly USD400 thousand on the first of Phase 2 of CIEF.
