how to improve communication with customers?

What are ways to improve communication with customers, which will help to improve sales, and reduce problems, and communication gaps.

I use a lots of pictures and detailed descriptions of the product to have the customer have a better understanding.

How do you do it?

Customers are divided many types.
if someone really need your products,they would be know some information about the products you sell him.And even there are some unclear problem,he will ask you more.then you can use your information to answer/serve him.
If someone who only want to have a start the business with your products,you could introduce some potential and popular products to him,and explain more to him,and analysis the market for him.

Only pay your heart on the customers,it will return you more.

This is what the guideline adopted by our group of companies

1) Use skype, or TM where you can talk online for free
2) Always ask one question at a time, one question one answer.
3) Summarize the question and answer to confirm everything is correct, then go to next question.
4) A supplier should write down what have been discussed in a meeting minutes and send a copy to buyer to confirm what you understand from the discussion are the same with what they understand. This way there is a black and white on what is agree upon.
5) If you need to send photo, send it first before the call

Replying to [Firo]In fact ,it is also a question that I should ask.I have got to tell you that I used to encounter that problem too.when my client visiting our factory,then he asked me to explain the functions and features of the products to him .I was all at a loss .it is not because my pronounciation is poor ,it is mainly because I am not so clear about the technical knowledge.
You know the communicating skills in business are really important.I suggest that Firo should go to some foreign- people-crowed places where you will improve your communicating skills by talking to different countries people.and you can also talk to english speaking people through skpye or msn or even trademanager.

Replying to [Firo]:The best way to improve communication with customers is not only listen to what they say but actually hear and understand. Summarise what they say and give clear and honest answers, know your product well. If you do not know an answer to a question tell them, but be sure to say that you will be able to give him the full answer to the question by a specific time and make sure that you do. We may not know all the answers ourselves within a company, but we have a team and within that team we have the answers to any questions about our product. Hope this helps

I also have faced this problems, sometime my clients complain my price is too high than they expected. But I donot how to explain to them althought it is very competitive.
In addition, for the client who is first time to start this line, I have no idea how to introduce my products to them. so many chances escape.
