Luckily I just burnt the hair!!!
Post 1 of 13
Today, I just wanted to make some fried rice for supper. That's one of my favourite food. And I haven't enjoyed it for many days.
Because the condiment and the gas oven are in different rooms, I put the oil into the pot and then went to another room to put all the condiment such as salt, aginomoto, vinegar etc. into the rice. I thought that would save the time to go to pick the condiments again and again.

Ok, done! Then when I got back to the pot, I found it's burning!
It's the first time I encountered this kind of incident! And I was really frightened at that time!

Fortunately, I know water can even make the situation worse.
I tried to put the lid of the pot back to stop the fire, failed again.
I tried to put the pot on the ground and ok, I would let it stop naturally.
The fire stopped at last!

Some people found I was in trouble and came to me. "My god, look at your hair!"
[em4] I touched my hair and found it's burnt by the fire. [em8] It feels like dried straw.

How stupid I am! But, I don't know why, I'm not sad at all. No matter what, I didn't hurt my face! Although my face is really dirt at that time.[em2]

An experience that I will keep in my mind forever.
Have you burnt your hair, guys?[em15]

Fei, just have a look at my avatar... [em3]

Good things didn't get any worse! Did you still eat your fried rice or did that accident "kill" your hunger?

I did enjoy the fried rice![em2][em2]
Although it doesn't look so good because it's a little black. That's because the oil has been scorched. But still delicious.[em15]

Don't worry, you will get to that situation, either you have white hair, or no hair at all.

Let me share my experience with the gas stove. I was frying some eggs, when the stove burner gave up on me. It has adjustment for either low flame or high flame, but turning to the low flame mark on the knob, there was no difference in the fire, and I got my eggs burned.

Being an Engineer, I do all the work at home the DIY way. So I looked for the adjustments of the high and low flow regulator. Lo and behold, it is located inside the valve that the knob was. I had to remove the knob and a cover with two mounting screws, to adjust the flow regulator screw. I could not tell the height and intensity of the flame without putting the gas and the fire on, so I did it on-the-fly, with the fire on. Then suddenly, the whole cover dropped out, and the flame flashed back ejecting out of the knob valve. If for 1 millisecond slower to reflex, I would be blind, my eye was directly looking at the object. But it burned my hair and I quickly turned off the gas tank regulator valve. Smell of burnt organic substance around the kitchen and I thank God for this narrow escape.
