Replying to [jackindo]: TrustPass is just a membership, with the membership, you can

1. Post more products and unlimited sell leads, set more keywords, get higher listing so that buyers can find u first

2. 100% access to all buyers

3. TrustPass qualifications

4. Non-stop promotion with a TrustPass site

However, these are services for you to trade better online, if you do not post more Ads or use it effectively, it is still useless for u.

So your efforts are still very important if you wanna more good inquiries or buyers.

Regarding contact from potential buyers I may want suggest few things to be carefull.
1) you will have to be very careful. Don't reply directly by clicking link in personal email which apparently look coming from Alibaba. any email from Alibaba may be deleted without opening it, login to your Alibaba account to read actual message.
2) Don't post your email address in your listing or trade leads.
3) Be careful with scams like, needed agent for transfer of funds, any rich widow or orphan young girl who needs your help with transfer of money.
4) emails from Bankers, who happen to have some dormant account in the name of some deceased, Mr. So and so who happened to have last name like your self [em9]
5) Never trust your luck to have won UK lottery, ticket was won by an agent. You might even receive mail in letter with copy of the ticket in there as well.
6) If you feel very happy or if some business comes up with very urgency. Chances are if it looks to be too good to be true, it is definitely not true [em10]

Being verified member, I receive couple of emails every day. That a good thing to be known and accessible to business counter parts.
That what Alibaba is all about, How you deal with your contacts and decipher fair and fake is your own business sense [em24]

Best of luck

Replying to [coffeegreentea]:We have only had the TrustPass membership for a few months.

We get the benefit of accessing leads that is only available for TP members, which insures generally serious companies.

Further we are promoted on Google via TrustP *, which gives other companies outside Alibaba assurance that we are 3rd part verified.

Since we joined we have had a significant increase in inquiries.
Actually we are quite busy now and has many promising negotiations going on.

OK, it's an expence. But I can only say that a company doing container size orders should afford it.
It's compared to other marketing expences cheap.

We are of course just as focused on non TP-members, but actually considering the amount of scam attempts, I think a "free" membership should be charge an amount that even the smallest trader would afford, but hopefully not the scammer.

I think as internet develops and there is ever-growing amounts of trade portals. It is important to have a lot of reference on Google.
Internet has developed trade explosively, so it is getting harder for a newcomer to be seen.

How I select business contacts.
Before I do business with any company through Alibaba, I check them through Google, an I'm severe with that. Usually a scammer is easy to spot, but some are creative and needs investigation.
A companys information should always match.
I'm not afraid of asking for more information to verify them.

All the references for paid memberships indicate a dramatic increase in inquiries. We have trustpass membership for less than a month but did not receive a single inquiry yet.
I posted our products and their trade leads. I'm going to start massive mailing soon (working on a website first). Also I know business takes a long time. But not getting a single inquiry... Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I wish to ask for advice. Also I wish to ask: is a website necessary to get inquiries?

Dear [Lavee]:

I visited your website here, and maybe I can give you some suggestion. You only post 1 product and two selling leads, while the other TrustPass members post 10-20 products and unlimited selling leads on Alibaba. Who do you think will have more opportunities? If you are a buyer, which supplier will you choose?

Secondly, the same as you said, you may search your potential buyers and send inquries. Meanwhile, please find the relative buyers instead of sending your inquiries to all the buyers without selection before.
