It's been learned from the Municipal Horticulture Bureau that after 3 years' efforts, horticulture experts in Guangzhou has succeeded in planting 91 varieties of wild plants and tamed 10 of them which are widely seen along the road and in the factories and courtyards.

Currently wild ornamental plants are also seen in such places as Baiyun Conference Centre and Mingquanju and Huangpu Road.

Experts have investigated altogether 306 types of wild plants with 109 becoming seed plants, 91 alive and 53,000 seedlings that have been produced. The Director of Horticulture Science and Technology Centre Lan Wei said, "Currently the 41,000 plants that have been spread across Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Qingyuan have all been purchased by Hong Kong businessmen. It can be seen that these wild plants are really well received among the citizens."

For three years, experts have worn out over 20 shoes for field research over the mountain, leaving their trace in a multitude of mountains, including the Huolv and Maofeng Mountains within Guangzhou, Daling Mountain in Conghua, Price Mountain in Huadu, Nankun Mountain in Huizhou, Heng Mountain in Hunan and the Wuyi Mountain in Fujian.
