Jasmine agency is a free information desk?

Some members sent me the emails and asked me if I can forward them some reliable suppliers of ….products.
When I told them: yes, when we both agree to start our cooperation, I am willing to introduce our suppliers for them. But of course, we will charge you a little deposit before we start..
Then those buyers disappeared..
I don’t think they are afraid that I may cheat their money. As I only asked them to pay a little as the deposit to show their sincerity to work together.
The main reason to disappear is they wanted to get useful information from me freely only, but reluctant to pay a little money.
I just felt frustrated recently when I faced such kinds of buyers.
Why? I am not a volunteer and charitarian. We are offering our service to earn money.
If you don’t want to pay money and want to get the free information, you can come to alibaba and other B2B websites, there are a lot of suppliers there, why need to come to us??
You said you can't trust them.
If you trust us and want to work with us, why aren't you willing to pay money?
There is no free lunch in this world!
Do not be out for small advantages.

Dont' worry Jasmine. Those customers would not have been good ones anyway so the fact that they walked away is a good thing for you in the long run.
Anyone who thinks that they can get valuable assistance for free is not being realistic. They are most likely only purchasing small orders so feel that any costs are going to eat into their short term profits. They are not looking at the big picture nor the long term objective. They will end up reading the warnings, finding a 'supplier' who does not meet the qualifications of a good supplier but has such a great price that they will take the risk and lose their money.
You have to spend pennies to make pounds and once they realize this they may just come back to you.
You could be sure that even if you could 'convince' those types of buyers to pay you a fee that as soon as something went wrong they would try to blame you. It is just the way that they are. They are not looking at foreign trade as such but as buying individual items for a quick profit.
Just the same as suppliers, service providers such as yourself need to be patient and accept that not all requests are going to be legitimate partners. Consider it all as fishing. Sometimes you get nibbles but the fish does not bite. Sometimes you catch a fish but it is not suitable so you need to throw it back. Once you catch the right fish you have yourself a good meal. Oh and sometimes those pufferfish keep stealing the bait. You don't want to do business with pufferfish so consider yourself lucky that they were not interested in your bait!
