There are important considerations for Web Marketing, and to sum it up for the technical aspects, the website should be LEAN and MEAN. This meaning the low memory size graphics, the quick to open webpage with low speed browsers, and at the same time to be as attractive as possible.
Graphics software like Photoshop, Coral Draw, Photodraw, Fireworks, etc., are the most needed tools to bring the website to a level of being lean and mean, the emphasis on the importance of the graphics, the animation, and authoring tools.
Lets look at the 3 pictures of the Apples for our case study. From left to right, we label as A, B and C.
A has 121 x 121 px and file size of 1.86kb.
B has 112 x 104 px and file size of 1.85kb.
C has 124 x 142 px and file size of 2.22kb.
Most people prefer A for appeal, and relevance, but C has higher bytes and is not aesthetic. There are graphics compression macros such as JPEG, GIF and PNG, free public domain, while others are licensed. You have to determine which type to use for your graphic, and the softwares provide graphic compression, downsizing, and slicing (we are not going into this now). Some website design completely base on authoring tools such as Shockwave, by MACROMEDIA Flash, which is highly appealing, animated graphics and very nice with sound and movie, but ... the problem is for the audience to view Flash programs, they have to download the running tool and most people fear to download anything from the Internet for spyware.
We can summarize Electronic Marketing through Web Advertising with the following key points:
