Need advice regarding picking up shipment and declaring from airport

Hi,

Can somebody please advise me how i can arrange to pick up my shipment from the airport i am not sure of the procedures.

Normally we use DHL door to door, because our order is now
Substantially larger our manufacturer has suggested shipping by air as this would save us on transportation fees.

Im not sure how to go about this, who would i contact at the airport to arrange this, do i just need to show the proforma and pseudo turn number...

We would be collecting from Manchester airport..

Any advise appreciated

Hi Linda Candy.

I would suggest you contact a Customs Clearance Agent who can handle all these matters and documents for you.

He can also arrange to have the goods sent directly to you from the airport.

Yes, he will charge a fee for this, but it takes the worry out of your hands.

Usually all you would need is a copy of the Invoice and Packing List from your Supplier, along with a fax copy of the Airwaybill.


Alternatively, if you want to handle it yourself, call the Airport and ask for their Freight Inwards department and have a chat to them
