They say its hard to sell, I said its hard to buy!
Post 1 of 128
my job is import foreign products to China and sell them.but it seems difficult to buy from foreign company! everytime i send mail to them who trade or manufacture the products we need, but no response. arenot they check mail in foreign company?

then i give call to tell them i wanna buy from them and hope that they can offer me some details, they promise mail to me but no response still. maybe they treat me as a scammer or others(busy,no-duty?).

what can i do for it? i think sometimes buy is harder than sale!

Totally agree. Those phony or lazy advertisers who do not bother to reply are just time wasters. I wish there was some way they could be given "three strikes and your'e out".

I totally agree with you. I have the same experience.
The email inbox is full of spam from over the world, but serieus sellers cannot be reached. [em9]

But how serieus can a seller be, that does not reply to a potential buyer? How serieus can Harry be, who states "We still trust people who try to meet us in person " ???

Right! These are people who still think they only should sell to people they know from their home village and are introduced by uncle or daddy. They do not belong to the world market.

It is a shame, manufacturers employ people with this village attitude, thus reducing and harming their business severely.

Replying to [mahao]:I agree with you but a proper genuine enquiry normally meets attention. A improper and uncomplete enquiry will be ignored in course of time. As more relevant & positive enquiries can be attended in that period.

personal think, it may concerns culture difference, different country has different business talking style, maybe you should search on the internet how is the business culture in the country you deal with, how to build trust with them first~

People are afraid of being cheated and or waisting time. You need to find a way to convince the other side that you are serious. Buying and selling are two sides of the same coin.

Replying to [mahao]:who said it is easier being a buyer than being a sales. it depends on different situations, most are depend on your company.
as a sales, if they company is famous or competitive in the price and quality. they just reply to their customer or send quotation to them, and they can get the order by doing like this.
as a buyer, The boss always wants you to find best quoation wich price and quality. it will be hard for you to do. especially you asked again and again from a supplier which you didn't give them order before.

China is a big market not only mentioned its productivity but also its consumption.i think china productivity is the number 1.most of my customers and my friends told me that when they are in supermarket they hope to have a item which is made by their own country but no,one is made in china, the other is made in china and another is made in china too...
So china can provide goods to all of the world, also will import the world goods, but i also think goods are made in china more than other countries.after all china has low cost labor forces.
Any way, just let me know if i can help you!

Thanks,
Mr.Glen Cao
