my job is import foreign products to China and sell them.but it seems difficult to buy from foreign company! everytime i send mail to them who trade or manufacture the products we need, but no response. arenot they check mail in foreign company?
then i give call to tell them i wanna buy from them and hope that they can offer me some details, they promise mail to me but no response still. maybe they treat me as a scammer or others(busy,no-duty?).
what can i do for it? i think sometimes buy is harder than sale!

Replying to [mahao]:Inspite of internet fast becoming a medium of online business transactions, call it b2b or c2 c or anything else, the mindset of people using this medium has not changed over the years.
We still trust people who try to meet us in person and the queries on net are still a grey area for many of us. The people feel they are dealing with a faceless and unknown person and are not sure what will happen in case some business transactions are confirmed.
But the future is bright of B2B. Till then keep on trying and sooner or later you will get breakthrough.

Iam sorry to hear that you could not get genuine sellers. We are an export company in India and have contacted quite a few people in China but have not got any response. So it is difficult to sell as well. Please do contact us on the Trade Manager and maybe we could work things out.

Replying to [mahao]:actualy what happens is: chain is recognised all over the world as a market who sells cheap . As such when a buy enquiry is generted from China , no body takes it seriously an thinks it is a waste of time as they will not be able to sell at the rates prevaling in the chinese markets.

into China everone just thinks they sell only or only offer poor
prices. China is a wealthy country not to forget. ( how could we)

My company is a major manufacturer of single use disposable products. We get 30-40 enquiries every day by email, from people who obtain our details from various Internet trading sites like alibaba.com or from our website feedback/enquiry form.
I must say that on a monthly basis 95% of these buying enquiries are just a fruitless waste of everyones time, including the enquirors. Let me explain.
Vague enquiries worded like " we want to buy your products, please send us your technical specifications on all your products, FOC samples of each product and CIF price" (wherever the destination is) -are nothing but time wasting.
With this type of enquiry, we will just delete. We have over 600 products in our range, and there is no chance we will spend any time on this, We cannot devote the time and resources to chase down every enquiry.
If the enquiry is from anyone who does not have their own website we delete. Emails from a hotmail or yahoo addresses etc we also delete.
We know from long experience that most of these enquiries are from what we call "chancers", ameteur traders who are not really experienced in our product lines and basically not in the business.
We only reply and action buy enquiries from bona fide proper companies who give specific details and technical specifications of what they want. They have already studied our website and have identified the products/ model numbers similar to the item which interests them.
Specific details means:
Full technical spec of what they are looking for:
Quantities/ Regularity of order
Expected lead times for delivery
An indication of a realistic target price they are looking for ( if its a ridiculous low price, then they also go into the trash bin)
Buying terms. i..e FOB, C&F, CIF etc.
Proposed Payment Terms they can offer (for the right customer with the right business volumes we can be adaptable)
With such specific, but basically essential information we will action very fast. Without it, they are consigned to the trash bin.
If buyers follow these guidelines, they will get a proper and timely response.
One last tip, if you are a serious buyer and you have had a positively interesting feedback from the seller and you want samples, giving your courier **** and/or offering to pay for samples always wins a buyer much credibility. It tells us sellers that you know what you are about and understand the business.
So to summarise, when you want to seriously buy, be specific, be professional and demonstrate to the seller you are a credible and serious buyer, representing a company of some means and reputation.
Thank you.
