According to the agreement, COEX and China Foreign Trade Center will join hands to develop the exhibition and convention industry in the years ahead.
Meanwhile, both sides will engage in further exchanging views and experiences and sharing each other's resources in organizing trade fairs and exhibitions He attributed the success of COEX Convention and Exhibition Center to his continuous efforts to expandcooperation with its counterparts from around the world.
Bae had high praise for CIEF's role in promoting China's foreign trade and economic development in the past decades.
"The exhibition industry is a window and platform for the development of foreign trade.
And CIEF, which has a history of more than 50 years, has actually provided such a good platform that has greatly contributed to China's economic growth," he pointed out.
He said he was deeply impressed by the great concern shown by many Chinese State leaders regarding the development of CIEF.
Bae believes CIEF will become an important and prestigious global trade event that attracts a large number of business representatives from around the world each year when the second and third expansion phases of Pazhou International Exhibition and Convention Center are completed in the near future.
Bae is an old friend of CIEF, his first visit to the fair having been as far back as 1987.
At that time, CIEF was held only in the Exhibition Halls in Liuhua Road, he recalled. COEX is a prominent landmark in the South Korean capital of Seoul. Located in the central business area, COEX is a destination for business, shopping, entertainment and more.
