Unless you are importing large quantities under your own brand name then my advice would be to save yourself money and heartaches by avoiding scam sellers here in China.

You cannot buy foriegn brand name products from suppliers here in China as these items belong to the company who owns and invests in that product name. Don't believe suppliers that tell you otherwise.

The simple way to check out a supplier who purports to be able to sell these products is to ask them for their distributor licence number and then contact the brand name company to verify that number. I guarantee you that no supplier here will give you a verifiable number and this is because they can't.

What will happen if you try to buy Nokia or other phones in China will be either:

1. you will get nothing for your money and there will be nothing that you can do about that;
2. you will get sent shoes of some other unrelated product just so that the supplier can show you a tracking number;
3. you will get sent cheap phones other than what you ordered;
4. you will get sent cheap copies of the brand name products;
5. your items will get confiscated by customs either here in China or in your country and will be destroyed

I can't tell you which one will happen, but I can guarantee that you will end up out of pocket and with nothing of any value to re-sell!

Only buy brand name products from licenced distributors in your own country. This is important for autheticity and for warranty status.

Replying to [julek]:

You cannot buy from the factories. True they manufacture phones (big brand names) in China, but they are not allowed to distribute them.
