Can I trust someone who ask me for free samples?
Post 1 of 61
I have got a enquiry from a Gold Supplier and he wants to send him free samples (two pounds) through FEDEX on his account. He is telling me do not worry about the payment, he is going to pay on his side. How can I be sure that he is going to pay?. Does he has to send me his FEDEX number account?
Thanks.

Get references and details about this customer
give limited samples (specify dollar amount and he must give you Fedex or Shipping number and pay for it

Yes, I agree with you. But sometimes the customer don't want to pay, it is really hard to deal with them.

The best way to avoid business fraud is to let the buyer go at your country so you could him/her. I am sure if he/she is realy interested. He would go to your country.

I have no idea of "Gold Supplier."
Does it mean a manufacturer who will sell its products to you?
No matter what meanings, I have the other side of the story.
I asked for samples, transfer about a thousand US dollars to
my suppliers, and received cheap stuff or garbage.
This happened 3 times with 3 different suppliers.
That is the reason I am thinking about an option
asking for free samples.
Of course, I will pay from A to Z (from Alpha to Omega)
for the cost a supplier spent to send me her samples.
I do not want to owe anyone in my business.

You can ask your client to apply for the remote pick up service from Fedex, you dont need to pay for the post fee.

In your question, i assume that you are sending sample to this particular Gold supplier. If he can furnish you with his FEDEX account number, you can write that account number on your consignment note when you ship out the sample to him. Then, specify charge to receiver. The charge will be automatically billed to his account.
