Can I trust someone who ask me for free samples?
Post 1 of 61
I have got a enquiry from a Gold Supplier and he wants to send him free samples (two pounds) through FEDEX on his account. He is telling me do not worry about the payment, he is going to pay on his side. How can I be sure that he is going to pay?. Does he has to send me his FEDEX number account?
Thanks.

Replying to [Galactea]: Yes the customer needs to send you his FEDEX account number so that you can send the product on his account. Do not send the product any other way.

Replying to [Galactea]:Yes you can send him the products on his account, all charge collect.
He has his own FedEx account means his has registered himself as a company(FedEx check the company name and phone number when you make the arrangement of shipment), so I think you can trust him - from my experience though. Of course there are some risk as far as you don't know the company very well.
Please google or search the company and if you don't find anything negative, I think it is worth trying this time.

Fraud company hate to send by FedEx since they don't have FedEx account.

Replying to [Galactea]:The question of sending samples is really a hot topic among our forums. If this buyer said that he would pay for it .so in my opinion, you should have his or her account number .

Replying to [Galactea]:NO YOU CAN NOT; there is an old sample scam that involved sending by FedEx, DHL, TNT Etc,

HE has to order FedEx to come and pick up the sample from your address, NOT YOU,

If you call FedEx and give them his account number and ask them to come and pick up the free sample, he can simple reject the order after he has received it,
That means that, FedEx will come back to you and ask you to pay for the transport of the sample, NOT HIM, he hasn’t order any thing,

This scam is not common but it is seen before and the best way to avoid it is to send him you address and ask him kindly to arrange FedEx to pick it up under his account number, NOT YOU,

It doesn’t matter if he signs for the delivery; he can still keep the sample and reject the order AND YOU HAVE TO PAY,

2 Lps Bolivia – China around 100 USD FedEx

If some one you don’t know say “don’t worry” then it is time to serious start to worry,

Replying to [Galactea]: Just do as he asked, you should not consider the trust all the time, if always so, you will lose some good chances!

Please ask him to give you his express acount No., then you can send the sample to him. or, ask him send the shipping freight to your bank, then you pay the shipping freight! [em17][em7]
