Replying to [juanjuan2]:The best lock I have found to be the safest is a deadbolt, but not one that is keyed on both sides.

Replying to [juanjuan2]:Any lock can be picked, try a 2x4 (or steel beam) placed vertically in front of the door and grounded in the floor say about 2 or 3 inches deep and secured to the door using brackets use this while your are at home to reinforce the door knob lock and dead bolt.

Replying to [juanjuan2]:No locks are safe today. You must reinforce the door framing. The lock and screws are in the wood but there is only 1/2 inch of wood to kick through. The wood today is very weak. Buy a device that blocks the opening of the door. It makes a triangle. The door, the device the floor. Best defense is a big dog!
Sincerely,
