It denpends on both sides !
For international trade , L/C are more suitable for each 2 sides.
especially for the big amount.
for small amount, T/T are more prefering by each others.

You may use PayPal system. This is one of the safest payment method in the world. Also, AliPay is also the possibility of the payment method.

Replying to [haiden]: Suppliers cannot be more careful. Instead of liberalising payment methods, they should even be tighter. There are so many fly-by-nights out there who want to get product without paying for it. If Buyers want simplified methods of payment, let them arrange them with their respective banks.

Replying to [haiden]: An account can be open on alibaba.com for online trading so everybody can have a chance to transfer the payments electronically. They can check their account on internet. We can say that it such as online banking but spectecular for website which support online trading. it is more confident and reliable. Importer and Exporter do not have to loose time with bureaukracy. An easier way for payment and for everybody.

Replying to [haiden]: Every thing is possible in a scure and trustable manner. There should be a Local Trading Body (LTB) in each country that work under Global Village Body (GVB). LTB verify and pludge securities(i.e property documents or cash) approve the company and forward case to GVB. Such members can do business according to their securities.(70% of their securities)

In this way we can construct a Global Trading Rule(GTR) under which secure transaction can be made.

Replying to [haiden]: i think this has to do with choices of suppliers and their locations geographically. It is based on accessibility. I feel that a time will come where business will be made easier i.e buyers and sellers will run their business at an almost risk free atmosphere.

Replying to [haiden]: HAiden, after being scammed recently for $1450 , i have come to a conclusion, if we buyers all stick to this method we will be never again scammed, every order that is sent to us from wherever must be shipped by COD (Cash On Delivery) DHL, FEDEX, and UPS offer this service, how it works is very simple:
The supplier sends you an invoice for order, he or she then upon contract agreements ships order to your business by COD, the courier company is responsible for collecting monies for supplier, which means one of two things
1. the supplier has no way of losing merchandise, where he is guaranteed to recieve either his merchadise back rohis monies
2. The buyer has more confidence because its very simple, unless merchadise arrives, there is no universal way of losing any money because money was not sent upfront.
In conclusion i feel if we all stuck to this new method, the majority of scammer will be put out of business because nobody is sending money upfront anymore, also you do this once twice maybe three times with supplier, you both build trust over the course of time and then if you have to send money through a different method, you will have more confidence in doing so!
My idea is simple, you ask the first time for supplier to send you a minimum sample order 1 or 2 units to start off, you receive your first order, then place second order alittle bigger the same way by COD, the problem is this, all suppliers require monies upfront because this is what they are used to do, if we all educate buyer and supplier alike within time fraud will virtually dissapear from this website and elsewhere because we have united all in unison for one cause to make realtionships the right and safest way possible, i am not an expert in importing or exporting, however i am a honest business man for 23 yr, i have never even had the notion to try to scam someone to make a quick dollar, that is blood money, and it is up to US to make a stop to it, by eventualy making all scammers have no choice but to actually go get a job, like everybody else!!!!!!!
Any inquiries or auggestions to this forum and question, i feel should be encouraged, i dont care about the 10 points for best answer, i care that i have finally found a home to make my voice be heard and maybe create change in ho wwe do business for th e21st century!!!!
Sincerely

I would like to add something, anything used with techology today has room for errors, i sell items on ebay, because of computer glitches i have lost money many times, i am paid through paypal, many times i have had money taken out of my bank account instead of monies being deposited for receipt of sale of items, i believe that if we actually create a new system that is universal all over the world , we will be so far advanced in how we do business it will change everything in how we have come to know of making or receiving payments on everdsy transactions, my previous response to your question earlier today outlines this new method i am proposing, and i will once again repeat it:
All courier companies have a service called, COD, (CASH ON DELIVERY) this service i have used many times with my own customers here in the USA, unless merchadise arrives buyer has no way of losing monies, also i as a seller have no way of losing my merchadise because payment wa snot made, this service is very cost effective, costing you maybe on average $5 or $10 per order, what would you rather lose? $5 or $10 or hundreds or thousands of dollars hoping you will receive merchadise as promised by supplier? I feel once again that if we all stand up and change and educate the payment methods immediatly, we will continue being taken advantage of, we will continue feeling skeptical of "who can we trust"
and then all alibaba memebers can actually become trustpass members, where alibaba will stand to gain even more revenue, because all buyers and sellers will sign up in a minute with no hesitation, because we have no way of being scammed by no one anymore, BUT WE MUST STAND UP NOW, AND EDUCATE EVERY BUYER TO MAKE THIS DEMAND WITH SUPPLIERS EFFECTIVE NOW, THEN YOU WILL SEE HOW SUPPLIERS WILL BECOME MORE LIBERAL IN PAYMENT METHODS, BECAUSE EVERYONE REQUESTS THE SAME TERMS OF PAYMENT TO START.
Remember to enter the 21st Century, we must let go of the 20th Century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SIncerely

Replying to [haiden]:PayPal is a really great solution. It allows suppliers to accept credit cards without having a merchant bank - all they need to do is have a bank account and have their address information verified. For buyers, there are security measures built in the same as with a credit card - if the supplier does not deliver, the buyer can claim a refund. It make small orders much more feasible as there are no bank tranfer fees. The supplier does pay a percentage of the payment as a fee to PayPal, but this can be worked into the purchase price. More companies should really look into accepting this or similar payment programs!

Replying to [haiden]: I do agree we should all stick together, and Pay-pal would be the best solution it's around the world and very trusworthey Plus it protects both partys. when we deal we ask the companys to apply for a pay-pal account and if they don.t we don;t deal with them.

Well GOOD LUCK
