The best salesperson is a person with good presentation, general knowledge and charms. Of course he/she also needs to be witty and clever. A big smile is a must too.

Remember everyone wants to buy - but no one wwants to be sold. Salesmen are made up of many types - Aggressive, pushy, smart, friendly, etc. Being in sales for 40+ years I can tell you it is everything. I now know that selling is a service and I feel I am doing my customer a service. If it were not for sales people we would have nothing to buy, to eat, to drive or to wear. When I sell it is a lot of knowledge, YOU must listen and see what your buyer wants. Don;t have your mind made up - let the buyer have what they want but ask the proper questions.
