Replying to [yarenimex]:We can call him a best salesperson who can use the art of selling i.e. the styles of applying various types of techniques of selling. These types of techniques depend on the nature of the products and the target customers. He has to study the intention of buyer then he has to proceed in that way by which the buyer would be convinced. Same types of techniques are not suitable for all types of products. The art of selling good is market, so the art could be of various types depending on products and customers. The best sales person has to be intelect and sensible otherwise he can not be the best salespaerson. [em7]

In a way all the people are salespersons. The accountant sell his knowledge to his/her boss. The manager sell his abilities to the board of directos etc etc.

The qualities of the "street" best sales person according to my opinion are :

- Appearance.
"The first impression counts" as they say.
The appearance is the No1 element of the sales person before even speaks to his customer. For example you can not sell hygene products when you stink, you can not sell a Bentley car wearing jeans.

- Knowledge
Needless to say that the sales person must aquire a vast sum of knowledge concerning his product. He must possesses manufacturing, logistics, accounting, marketing knowledge to the extent that will help him cover all the possible questions from the potential customer.

- Efficiency
Yet it is not enough to have the appearance and aquire the knowledge. You must be beneficial to your customer as well as to your company in order to know when to "CLOSE THE DEAL". You have to understand the needs of the customer, to match these needs with the qualities of your products and then let the customer to understand that this is the right product for him.Now its time to close the deal. It is essential for the customer to believe that YOU ARE NOT SELLING rather HE IS BUYING from you.
