Post 1 of 31
It is very diffiuclt to check the real buyers, some parties waste too much time and did not buy any thing. Can any body help me and tell me how to deal with such type of person?

According to my experience, I have several ways to check whether this is a real buyer.

1. Get to know his/her contact information:
Company name;
Address;
Tel/fax;
Website;
If the above information is uncompleted or just by sight you could know it isn't correct, then why should you waste your time?

2. Technical details
The experienced buyers they know quite well the technical info. for the products they are searching. If a new buyer, he or she will be quite positive if you asking for the information. Even they don't know, but they would like to hear your suggestions and your thoughts.

3. Give him/her a call
Call the buyers directly and propose your products if they meet to their demand. Hear their response and you will know they are serious or not.

Dear Raindrop
Being a professional buyer the first thing that comes to mind to identify a real buyer would be a formal request for quotation on the company letterhead or form.
The RFQ should give you all the details along with either an FOB or CIF point or whatever mode of transport the requester wants.
ie if they require parts for industrial equipment they should not only include the part number but the make model and serial number along with the manufacturer's name.
If requesting food supplies they must include packaging and labelling and the standard required.
Thank you

On this opinion, I would like to give a little of my experience:
Clients have not even concern in which kind of products they are interested, and they ask me to send price list. I never pay attention to these mad.There are more than one hundred in our product lines, how to give the price list ?

I here would also like to let other potential buyers that do not repeat the above action again.

Those who required sample and are not willing to pay for even freight, forget him.

Give you a huge order quanity and never bargan with you on price, forget him.

Replying to [malik]: It is easy to identify real buyers if they have company email and website. Make telephone calls to them using their office number if you have. I had bad experiences with fake buyers where they can make up a totally 'real' website and lure you into believing that they are in existence!! In fact they were not, they were just using other people company's name and made a new website!!
