Today, I get a news from the dinner with my friends (they are sales all).

one guy change work from A company to B company last year, and he don't tell his customer who seems big buyer from company A, they had cooperated two year when he left the A company..Till to now, this guy don't tell the customer he change the company, he still to get the order as A company from the customer......

but now, the customer maybe know the truth from the new sales of A company...because the A company new sales had call them for check...

then the customer dont contact this guy now....

PS: A company is a trade company, they are not real factory
B company is factory.

and this guy is very dysphoric..he dont know how to deal with this situation now....

He worried,
1.if he tell the truth, maybe will lose this customer for his rascal doing...but to tell truth is justicial action for the customer...

2.if he don't tell the truth, he is fell so sorry.

and the other friends said, he dont do anything, just wait, becuase the guy will hurl himself willingly into the net, if the customer dont know it....anyway if the customer will give order to him again, that means everything will ok, and the customer dont know the truth, and if no order, just give up this customer...

In my oppinion is.. when the customer had know the truth, if he still to cover it, that will unuseful for the future cooperation....I think that is better that he admit his wrong doing, and serious say sorry to the customer...but he is afraid lost this big buyer...so....

we dont have a good decision in the dinner table....and I know ali have large good and informative people, so I hope can get some fresh advice...thanks!

    it's not your turn to decide to keep touch with the customers or give up him,it's cunstomer's decision.first of all,you need to confirm if the customer have known everything,you could get this from the new guy.if it is for sure,there are 2 way,a.you admit  your fault ,write a very impressive letter to him,b.you have a talk with the guy , let him help you ,tell the customer you're now a sohu now,still work for A company and other company. in fact you should know the customer very well , know what kind of people who is . if you think he will forgive you,it will be the best not cheat on him ,in fact 2 years is a long way,if you have took him as a friend,you 'd better not cheat on him, maybe confression is the best way~ if i was you ,i will confess 


    in fact , you and your friends have known the answer. Good luck.

    [em1]Yin W, from the African perspective, truth is the most important thing to us, if  I were the Guy, I would tell the truth, If is good and wise, he would understand, to make it even sweeter, this guy now sells for a Manufacturer, which means he has a better bargain power, he can entice the customer by giving him, like a 2% discount, that would encourage the customer to him, but only after telling the customer the truth[em2].

    Your friend should explain to the customer that he has left company A and try to pitch Company B that he now works for.  Its better to be honest with the customer because when the customer finds out which is only a matter of time then your friend will be sure to lose this customers trust and this means no chance of redeeming this customer.  Be honest in your dealings.

    if i face this proble ,i will tell the truth to my customer,because we have worked so long ,so i also will tell my customer that the price of products from factory will lower than the trade company

    to keep it or to give up ,it is up to the customer not to the saler.

    as a customer they have the right  to know the fact.i think many customer will understander if he say truth.no mater what the result is.first he should be honest.

    be a customer they need good treat,they will find some beter one to cooperate.the B company is a manufacture .can provide a competitive price.and the quality can be surperviced during the produceing.maybe they will satified with your service.
