Guangzhou Municipal Intellectual Property Office has recently released a scheme aimed at building more than 100 competitive import and export enterprises with proprietary intellectual property rights in three years.
Under the scheme, government authorities will launch a pilot program to select a number of import and export enterprises which have considerable competitiveness and proprietary IPR, and will give preference to them in receiving municipal government funding support for technological innovation and business development and in applying for provincial and central government funding support.
Government authorities will also train two employees from the enterprises in international trading rules and IPR laws and regulations, and provide IPR training for at least 90% of these enterprises' managerial and technical personnel.
