I am a Chinese agent of five foreign companies but they bring me annual commission less than 10000USD at this time; I met an new foreign company last week and they need me to work for them on a full time manner,and offer me US$1200 per month . What can I do? I have no idea.

Replying to [Yagolelighting]:Based on my experience, it's easier to do the business with the existing customer than to follow up a new customer.
The difference of 10000 an 14400 are quite a lot but i am sure that if you trying to get them, you must pay for it. Maybe you must pay with your valuable time (comfort zone) or with your hardwork to accomplish the task that worth US$4400 a year.
But if you are a challenger.... go for it!!!

(And which offers more, both long-term and short-term.) What prospects do you have for the future, both as an agent or as employee?

I am in the process of leaving paid employment - for me, independence is everything. Short-term my pay has reduced dramatically, but long-term I hope to do better.

So much depends on personal circumstances - I wish you well with your decision.

If you need much more safety and wellness you have a new chance: take care if it's sure also for long future, of course! I always had thought in the first way, but after 1 year, very difficult year, I wouldn't let this chance pass without taking it. And sure I'll tell this company I agree with them if they give me 1500 $, it's a reasonable price for leaving the others, don't you think. Make them need precisely YOU. I think in this posting i suggest you have personal preference over security, growth, and hard work commitment.consider this over offer. Are you happy what you are doing now with 5 company? what is the room for growth offer by new company? What your personal expectation of this company? how much can you gain joining in one company such as pros and cons via 5 company? it all depend how you wish move on. I think i will stick with 5 company where plenty room and potential of earning than 1. it also depend many factor, are you willing to eliminate clutter in job duties with 1 rather than 5?

think what you really need in your life,more freedom or more money.if you need more freedom keep your current job.if there are some item in your life to be proceeded with more money.try to take your new job.
but everything can be change,your five exist clients may grow up very fast in the nearly future,you will have more money but a little freedom.
so think it over and find what you do need with what a situation going on.
