Supplier Wont Send Goods By Seamail

We have found a supplier that many recommend and prices are good. However, cost of sending by express is almost the same price as our first sample order would be. We asked about seamail to Australia by China Post but the supplier said that they dont send goods by seamail anymore as its unsafe. So we have a good priced supplier but now have problems with cost to send 60-70kg to Australia. Items we buy are small. Can anyone help? We were quoted about $180USD for seamail but express we were told over $600USD.
