Mattellatech, your examples are useful in presenting your product, but they fall hidden to an internet search, and a catalog needs addresses to send them to.  Profiles limit you to the place in which you present your profile.   What you need is a sucessful marketing stratedgy in which you can utilize those tools to market and provide sales for your business.[em15]

Replying to [Mattellatech]:start by building a splash page or ad of the product and post it to free directories. Find your targeted market. Lets say if it is in Electrical design or manufacturing you might want to list it in EDN or Nuts and Volts magizine. Web page is needed to direct your audience somewhere with specs and easy to read contacts. Maybe a data base, for easier tracks of interested clients.
This is where started.[em6]

A combination of all three would be the best as I have done myself - - a website of just 2 MB and 5 pages;
- a catalogue on my website plus a more comprehensive one on my PC from which I can easily pick the photos to send to interested buyers; and
- profiles on Alibaba (company profile, product and selling leads)

Hi,

There many ways to introduce a product.
You can use any one of the below mentioned and/or all ways to introduce your product:

1) The product can be introduced in the webmedia by developing a professionally designed and optimised website for that product. This would help in having a global presence.
2) It can be done by giving advertisements in the both print and television media. This is one of the important ways to have a prominent national presence
3) There is another popular method of introducing a product is giving advertisements in the web media in the form of Google Ads, Yahoo Inetnet Marketing and the likes.
Other than these 2 prominent players in the net, there are many popular and well-trafficed online newspapers, portals, forums and the likes which provide online advertising facilities, where product can be introduced.

Other than the above mentioned 3 methods, there are various other ways to introduce a product: like e-mail marketing, viral marketing, affiliate marketing and the likes.

If you need further clarification, do let me know,

Cheers,
Samata

Replying to [Mattellatech]:None of the three options you listed, let us ask ourselves a simple question, Who is going to waste his time reading long and long explination about any product in the web? Or to read catalogue? Or to read profile? Its wasting of time, and everyone is getting board of millions of offered products in the market, why & for what reason should we convenience ourselves to read a specific product webpage(s) other than the others? What drives others to give some time to read specific catalogue other than others? What makes everyone take a further step to accept taking a profile of specific company and THEN spare some time to read it? Who is doing that now? Only Few, and those few, some of them are MAYBE Serious and some of them are not serious. i.e you are targeting only 1-2% of unknown potential buyers.
SO what is the solution? I think all of three options are old strategies, and everyone should think of having, adapt, and improve new marketing strategies, like to have seminars and invite potential buyers to explain your products in innovative ways, or to adapt some social activities and launch your products during these activities, or to through free gifts from airplane on a part of the city and put your name one each free gift, or to have a TV show, or even a TV series with handsome & sexy characters, i.e something to INTERACT with people in their daily life instead of waiting people to have a chance (which may come or not) to ?read? your profile, you have to go to them and interact with them in all of their daily life activities.
I think this is the solution
