Problem with Export Sales
Post 1 of 9
Dear Friends

The main problem we face in export sale is inconsistancy of orders.

Sometimes we are overloaded with orders and other we have no order. This distroy our rotation.

Madhur_Agarwal,  it seems by your comment that you have success in your business.  As I see it you most definetly have a problem with your lead times.  One tact you might take is to market heavily at certain times and pull back in your efforts at other times.  Another way to alleviate your problem might be to discount your products slightly with your existing customers so that they buy before your busy periods.  The way to market this idea is to sight to them that they are getting your products before everyone else.  But what you are really doing is providing a slight discount for them to carry your product before their busy season.  This would be mutually beneficial to both parties and help you alleviate the press for available production time.   This is not uncommon for all manufacturing facilities as it helps with the flow of good to the market as well.[em15]

Replying to [Madhur_Agarwal]:All products have periodic ups and downs seasonaly.
Why not look for domestic market to act as buffer?

Replying to [Madhur_Agarwal]: Don't worry. It is the basic characterstic of a business. Every product has its life-cycle and the orders comes accordingly. Keep introducing new products or adding new services to your business to retain your position in the market. We should not expect things in life smooth whether it is business nor even our lives. Up and downs are bound to happen.

Replying to [Madhur_Agarwal]:I wish to elaborate on what I wrote earlier. Even the 100% EOU units in India are permitted 30% sales to domestic users to tide over lean periods in sales and to tide over the unpredictable sales patterns that evolve.

Replying to [Madhur_Agarwal]: As the market demanded, under your effort, the sales condition would be up and down.
