Collecting Business Cards at the Canton Fair!! How many cards you expect?
Post 1 of 12
Collecting business cards would be an essential task for most exhibitors during the trade shows.....
Many bosses or managers will set up some goals for collecting business cards before the show.
So, how many business cards you or your manager expect to collect in this Canton Fair??

Why you want to collect so many cards? You should collect contacts from those who are potential buyer. Some of the experience exhibitor only attack those relevent people. If not it is just a waste of time.
Follow up after the exhibition is also very important, in most cases everytime i attend an exhibition they ask for my card, my title is purchaser, but very few get back to me on the questions i ask at the booth. what they know is just email me the spam, nothing more than that.
Only very few really follow up the business

Replying to [jacky lili ]:I think the more the better, because you can not judge if a customer is serious or not in fair. They are willing to be your booth it meas they have interesting on your products,so we can get their contact information first and then check on internet.

More cards do not represent more buyers.

I will say that the orders you get don't have anything to do with the cards quantity you collect. If you can expect a real and big buyer, this will be much better than pieces cards you collect;but if you collect lots of cards without a potential customer, it is really a thing wasting time and energy.
Of course, you should get the skill of judging the potential customers in caton fair. That is the reason the bosses ususlly assign an experienced salesman to attend the fair.

Collecting many cards is great, as long as you make notes on the back as to what the potential customer is interested in.
A business card without any idea as to what they want is a wasted opportunity. Sure you have their contact info, but what is it that they want? How much product? What color? When do they need it?
Without this information you are just another spammer trying to sell them something they don't need.

You are right!!
a effiecent CRM system could be helpful in this case.
It is needed that you get the business card and you are also aware of their needs..
