Re: What is your preferred payment method?
Post 1 of 22
Replying to [Admin]: the right mode of payment is T/T. However, it shall be not 100%advance but 60% to 75% depending on the product price. Payment against delivery ready but after dispatch note information shall be disbursed. The alternative to be accepted depends on product nature , its pricing and availability.

Replying to [mulyeanand]: Letter of credit is still the safe method to use. The bank is a source that makes both parties secured in business transactions.

You know, payment is very important between selling and buying.
You also have to consider the buyer's opinion, because the business is for 2 parties. In my opinion, 30% by T/T in advance, then other 70% by L/C. It's fair for seller and buyer.
If you prepared the goods well, but the buyer won't pay you. You also have 30% payment. Against, if your product are not in good quality, the buyer also can refuse to pay you.

Replying to [Doctordavid]:Escrow is like an escrow account on line, you place an order and you put the money in an escrow account, then the company were you have the money deposit contacts the seller ,then the seller ships you the goods, then when you get the order and inspected , then you let the scrow company know that is ok to send money to seller, the only thing with that is that it takes longer for the seller to get his money, but is a safer way for the buyer not to get scammed..
