Replying to [Arnel]:[em1]When you are exporting fort the first time,in order to impress the buyer try to give as much information as possible about your selves, your business environment and quality records. Highlight the important features with specila support certificates and recommendations. See that it igives the buyer sense of satisfaction as what was his requirement and how best you are close to it if he takes your product. Also provide supporting data about the same acquired in your country and field trials.
Also see that you are just more attentive to listen to him and also suport with post sales service data / scheme/plans if any.
This definitely will push the product better.

Replying to [Arnel]:Well Arnel we must have a completed catalogue with maximum details. IF possible we must be registered with an ISO registration & all above the best our samples & catalogue should be self speaking about our quality, service, attitude & products. A well designed website & feedback from customers can be pinch of salt in the curry.

Just remeber theres always a first time , with this confidence try to crack the deal..
The buyer doing business with a new bie will be very sceptical ,
Firstly try to convice him how serious you are for the business , make him sure that you are capable of exporting the product in terms of
1. Knowledge - you have the proper knowledge of product as well as of export .
2. Documents- not only your registration documents are correct but you also know about all the export documents, many a time sbuyer s freak out knowing the seller doesnt know what all basic export documents are neede..
3. Give them local refernces and past perfoemance , that will help him to know the exact standing of your company.
4 Listen to all his querries and as far as possible make him fully satisfied..
5, Dont rush up things , by making the buyer think why r u in such a rush, give the buyer ample of time to analysie the situation.
6. Make the buyer belive that even if he is not intersted in doing business you being a newbie at least have agood relationship with him..
7. Give him the best possible deal , but not a very lucrative one also which cud raise suspicion over the whole deal....

Replying to [Arnel]: Dear Arnell,
in answer to your question on what you do to impress your buyer. firstly do your home work on what you are trying to sell and get all the information about that product, and procedures then be totally honest dont lie, and dont try and make out you know what is spoken about to your buyer, if you do pretend, they will know, There is an old saying that applies to just about every thing, say what you mean and mean what you say,
But knowing what product you are selling is very important, and that will impress them all. And always remain professional in all that you do,
and if your not sure about a question you are asked, say you are not sure and you will get back to your buyer with the right information,
hope that helps, and remember we were all new at this when we all started.[em7]

Make available information about yourself, your organization, product you are selling, authenticity of your doccuments, your location on the planet earth( no body would love to do business with a ghost trader), contacts available to your international buyer.
Send sample of your product, certificates for quality analysis of your product.
Listen to the terms and conditions your buyer gives, negotiate and reach a concession, agree on terms of payment, if possible send a country representative (if any) to confirm every transaction
