Couldn't agree more. The internet provide opportunities for shrimps like me to warm up to buyers and make a deal straightaway. But of course, other ingredients such as passion for your business, sincerity, friendly and professional approach do help along, too!

We are trying to source parts in China and Taiwan, but more than often we are confronted with pricing sometimes 3 times higher than if we buy locally in small quantities. Normally I would expect more competitive pricing in small quantities because the advantage of lower wages weighs higher for small volume.
To me the message of a high price may mean several things:
- I'm not interested
- We are not organized for your request
or
- We're trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible.
All these messages are not a good start for a new business relationship. It might mean that the supplier has lost a second chance right from the first instance
