Here's a sensible guide to equity share ownership in business:

50% (or even 1%) of something is worth at least something, while a 100% of nothing is still nothing. Means even if we have 100% ownership, if there is no business it's still worth 0%. So in this case your 50/50 is a good start for you, two heads are usually better than one. Good luck!
