Where did Alibaba, the brand name come from?

Why would some one use a brand name "Alibaba"? When I was a child i have heard about a story called "Alibaba and 40 Thieves"
Is there more stories? or some how Alladid got turned to Alibaba?

Replying to [Stone]: Tom or Brown or Black would have made excellent choices in this regard. Look at all the names in Trademanger and average them out and you will certainly find the name of an English woman's name . That would have been a good choice wont it? I wish there was more logic but there is not when it comes to names. Why is my name what it is?
