Replying to [Admin]:appoint the service of an inspection company based in the supplier's country, the inspector will check on the supplier from time to time and make sure they process your order according to your specification. You can try payment through escrow which is very secure, but if you used the service of an inspection firm. you can used any payment methos. check www.wadadlitrade.com

Replying to [Admin]:There are a number of companies that do Escrow ("Hold in Trust") transactions. One of them on the top of google list is Escrow.com.

I think this is a very good idea. May be it costs some money but it should be reliable.
Look for similar companies in your own country or country of the importer to help you with the transaction.
Best of luck with your dealings.

I just joined Alibaba but have been working with Brokerforum and other electronic component trade engines and our preferred method of payment when dealing with new suppliers is always Escrow.

Escrow provides both parties with security while as buyer you have the opportunity to inspect the product while as seller you have the guarantee that you'll get paid.

I'm very surprised that Alibaba does not offer an Escrow service, this would certainly weed out the less then honest suppliers while generating some additional income for Alibaba without being involved in the transaction.

Check www.escrow.com for details, any other escrow provider would work but be aware of fraudulant online escrow providers.

COD is a great solution for smaller shipments but be careful, you cannot send COD to just any country. You would have to contact your courier to find out details about the destination you are sending to to check if the service is available.

In general shipments valued at $300 or less COD is acceptable in countries where the service is available.

Just FYI, I deal mainly in electronics and whereas COD is acceptable throughout the US it is a relatively unknown form of payment in EU shipments.

Being allowed to participate in AliPay outside of China seems like a great idea.
Any possibility?
