Everybody is writing about not trusting suppliers from China – what is exactly the problem? I have had good relationship with China suppliers but I am dying to know the details of the problems others experience –I might be able to help.

Just a opinion, but the problems from Chinese supplier must be due to the problem of understanding the buyers request. Language barrier problems. Also the next problem, not keeping up with the promises of their deliveries. And finally, many trying to make a quick buck, not thing long term relationships!

Replying to [Admin]:It is not only China. Scams are going on through out the world. What I realised that most of the people who want the cheapest prices they caught into Chinese Scammers.Reputed Chinese companies have there certain limits for discounts and terms and conditions and they cannot accross them.
Un registered and small companies agreed with what ever prices you ask and they give you option of advance payment or TT etc for payment terms and there you get trapped.
So be careful when you get extra ordinary low prices.

The most important of all is that they need to change their payment methods from TT - Wesiern Union to more secure ones LC - Escrow etc. this will definately improve standards and allow buyers to be more comfortable. As at present there is too much of scam within the system

Replying to [Admin]:When putting together a project involving the purchase of Laser diodes on a large scale, we turned to China.
Upon receiving sample diodes from a few manufacturers, we decided which one to choose and put in an order for 25,000 to start.
Little known to us, we sent the money for our first shipment which was immediately processed and shipped out. It was a good order.
The second order was doubled and that is when the trouble started. We called for three weeks to find out what was holding up the order. I finally got a supervisor, who all seem to be named Ms Sunny. She informed me that the other person I dealt with had given us her personal banking info. They processed the first order, but when the second larger order came in, they kept it. The Manager of the company apologized and sent our order out immediately. Needless to say, we missed 2 deadlines because of the missing product.
The next order for 50k pieces was taken and right before shipment, I was contacted and told the product had just gone up in cost almost 65%, but we could get a sub-standard piece for our same price. We negotiated 25% and took delivery. Contacting other friends who buy in China, I have been told that this is a regular occurence.

go there your self and see how they work ,,Remember there is no such thing as cheap quality,,,,,[em55]
