Why Free Samples are very important?
Post 1 of 19
1- Giving out free samples is a great sales gimmick. The idea of giving out free samples is that potential customers can test the service or product at no cost to them and if they approve of it they would hopefully buy the product you are selling.

2- With free samples customers get the opportunity to test the quality of the service or product before buying it.

3- Free samples however can be used as a marketing strategy only if the service or product that is being promoted can be distributed as small samples and if the cost of giving away these free samples is not going to set the business back by a huge sum of money.

4- Companies usually give away free samples to coincide with the launch of a new service or product or when they want to successfully capture the market share of that particular product.

5- Giving consumers free samples is the easiest thing to do- after all no money changes hands and there are many takers. A popular practice among companies is to include free samples of newly introduced products as extras while purchasing products that are already established.

6- Developers offer software applications and other similar digital products as free samples to their clients by way of trial versions which can be downloaded from a particular site and used free of cost for a limited period of time.

7- Mailing free samples is losing its popularity because of costs incurred by the company to package and post the free samples.

8- Free samples have over time proven to be a very effective sales promotional tool. Customers are attracted to the idea of getting something free and will never turn down a free sample, which in turn could get them hooked onto your product when they realize how good it is.

Replying to [Usama El Kady]:Good advice[em19] to give the sample freely. Perhaps if tiny samples like card reader is ok, but how about if our product is big and hard product? like furniture items, machines?[em8]

Replying to [Usama El Kady]:Most importers in the 3rd world like my country Yemen dont belive in papper or catalougs unless they see a product infront of them and make a test check dont like to import products so a free sample is important for sales promoters like me and others..

well i think we must stick to what building a buisness is allabout .if we want to have residual promotion of our products ,then we must  set aside a certain amount to sample out free to our potential clients . i know its not allways a cheap ,but think of it allways as promotion of our products. sure there will be some clients who just love free samples ,,just like at the supermarket  asile ,,girls in mini skirts winking at costumers to sample free foods ect.. but even if a costomer pays for sample ,,doesnt meant  they will buy anything ..we cant control what our clients are thinking when they sample our products .bottomline ,,after they try a free sample they will feel some positive inclinationto buy later if they liked your sample ,while when they are forced to buy sample they will never forgive you if its not up to thier liking or standard . to keep our cost down i suggest we put a limit on certain free samples accordingly to size cost ..ect..

Free samples

Yes it is an important  tool for the start of the business.

It is one of the best way to create an interest in the product for generation of business.

The genuine customer  also can develop his new product and get more share in his business, which ultimately helps the supplier.

It helps to set the economics of business/development.

There is no surety of success in the beginning.  Under such condition the free sample helps the business promotion.

If genuine feedback is received the supplier can improve the sample material quality and this helps the purchaser as well.

Hope this is allright

regards
