Hi Eleni-domingues
My suggestion is order some sample first, and then a trial order of small quantity,if the quality and service are good and the company are trustworthy enough, then gradually go to large quantity order.

Supplier audit is a must, you can visit the supplier to check if they can fully understand and produce what you are sourcing for and trustworthy enough as not to run away with your upfront.

Hire inspection company or some local QC on a part-time or case basis to arrange pre-shipment inspection in case you can't go.

Now most chinese people won't send free samples, they will refund the sample money when you place the order. To be honest, I don't see any point in judging a supplier by whether they send free samples.

Regards,
Steven
