Replying to [Admin]: When you are starting a new business it is better to send free samples. however you can always ask the buyer to pay for the shipping cost

Replying to [Admin]:One should charge for the samples as the time, efforts and the tools needed to make them. Secondly, it shows the genuinely of the buyers as well.

Replying to [Admin]:[em1] Charging for a sample is very reasonable and practical. It will eliminate the tire kickers, so to speak. There is NO way you can be sure that the person who requests a FREE sample will actually ever purchase any item from you. In this day and age, sell a sample at the price you intend on selling it if it was ordered. 10 to 15 requests for FREE samples a week, or a month will add up. Samples are NOT FREE, but my answer is.[em3]

I voted yes, however, freight should be paid by the customer (using customers courier account or similar).
Also for items >$20US a sample charge would be acceptable.

Replying to [Egernia]:[em18][em19] As a manufacturer I really agree on your comments and more importantly where you said about paying for sample is a win-win situation Thats if after the sample is paid and when the customer place an order becauseof the good sample then the cost of the sample will be deducted . Thats great and hope this would reduce fraud and those who make fast money from manufacturer and at same time bring in trust among buyer and seller.

Thanks for your write-up. Hope all potential customers will learn from this.
