There are many factors that are important to all of us here at Alibaba. However some are forced upon us and as such i find them secondary. Examples are tax laws and import laws and the like. Normally trading companies and accountants on a local level can help guide through those issues.

However issues such as technology which all buyers rely on here in Alibaba in one way or another are crucial. Understanding of molds, raw material pricing and product information are much more important than tax issues.

I think Alibaba should have function like daily currency updates and raw material pricing that is helpful. Everytime i try to look up raw material pricing one of these high MVPs has a link to the London Metal Exchange. I can do that also and keep posting links up the yingyang. I am not talking about that. I am talking about practical information like what is the average price of PP and getting a real Yuan/RMB answer every day. Just an updated section every day. Price of steel and exchange rate would also be good. Prices of coudura and the like. I don't think it is very hard, but i would see that this could be one of the most important sections of all on Alibaba.


Has anyone thought about how Alibaba members get taken advantage of by companies that are quoting us unbelievable raw material prices? This will help weed out 90% of all crooks already.

ok this one is kinda funny.

It reminds me of the Wall Street Journal..... You're going to tell me what happened YESTERDAY in the stockmarket.

Pretty much most of those would be interesting reading but not a tool to use.

And if Alibaba starts posting "import export tax laws" and "customs regulations" then you are leaving yourself open to legal issues...

Post LINKS to governemnt websites maybe but I wouldnt be doing anything else on those subjects.

Other than that I think I would be speaking for probably 95% of ALL Alibaba members if I said:

TIGHTEN SECURITY ON SCAMMERS INSTEAD!!! and that would be MUCH more sueful a spending of Alibaba's money than any other single thing you could do.
