Product knowledge.
I can deal with suppliers that do not speak perfect English so long as they are at a level that they can communicate. I speak Chinese which is why I deal in China, but I suspect that suppliers fluent in English would not be necessary to me in other markets.
Product knowledge is vital as having a supplier fluent in English but who does not understand the product is really useless to me. Sure we can chat away in English but if they don't understand the product then how can they really understand my needs?
Experience in the industry would be second on my list as suppliers with experience will generally operate a lot more smoothly than ones without.
