Replying to [vick324]:Do you ask him to send you the Bill of Loading? And you could ask the shipping company that used to ship your merchandise[em1]

First you must inform us about the company, to check out what kind of company and the status !
Second your mentioned deals before, are one sample deal or real deals !

After getting this info, perhaps somebody can help you !

If you have not yet solved your problem, look at www.exporters.com.sg
this is major Singapore website.. smaller than alibaba but good...and also hot on suppliers.
Others must have had problems...

There are many law firms in Singapore and the government is hot on consumer rights... so keep trying.

Hi
In Singapore,

we have a CASE , Consumer Association of Singapore to report on merchants. However, I am not sure if they handly such Internet cases

http://www.case.org.sg/complaint.plx

Alternatively, pls report of fraud to our Singapore Police thru their website . Singapore police has a special department for Internet Fraud and crimes to handle such cases.

We had a case closed on a Internet seller here who sell Car accesories who collected payment from many car enthusiast in singapore. He challenged the police to try to catch him. They traced and track him down in less than 3 days .
this is the article on the fraudster caught from the police

SPF Media Releases
22 Nov 2006 Internet Trickster Selling Car Parts and Accessories Arrested
A 24-year-old self-employed man was arrested by Police on 21 November 2006 at about 9 am for a series of internet cheating cases involving the sale of car parts and accessories.

Police was alerted to the internet scam in late October 2006 after receiving 7 reports against the culprit for cheating. The culprit lured unsuspecting car enthusiasts in an online motoring forum into parting with their money by claiming that he was able to get bulk discounts on car parts and accessories. The victims would place orders with the culprit and make payment electronically. However, the victims never received their goods. When the victims discovered that they had been cheated, the culprit taunted them to catch him if they could.

Following the receipt of these reports, a task force comprising officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division Headquarters and Criminal Investigation Department was set up. The officers conducted intensive enquiries and investigation, and managed to establish the identity of the culprit. The culprit was eventually arrested on 21 November 2006 . An assortment of computer paraphernalia was seized (Annex A refers).

The culprit will be charged in Court on 23 November 2006 for an offence of Cheating under Section 420 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 7 years and fine.

Police would like to remind members of public to verify the reliability of merchants or individuals when making internet purchases or transactions to prevent like-minded individuals from exploiting modern conveniences to commit crime.
