In August 2005, British Student Alex Tew was at home, thinking about how to pay for University. He decided to launch a website selling pixel space to advertisers. The website had 1,000,000 pixels available and each pixel cost an advertiser just US$1. The Million Dollar Homepage (www.milliondollarhomepage) was born.
Within 6 months, he had become a millionaire, was world famous and had started a trend leading to thousands of copycat sites. Ironically, the idea which was supposed to help him fund his education, made him drop out of University after just one term: he had BIGGER FISH TO FRY

CLEVER and Lucky!

He is clever because he was smart enough to know the tech know how to put that website together. Lucky because he had so many people put their adds on it. But dropping out of school was not a great idea!
Knowledge is how we grow in our intellect! If you quit learning from school then all you have is your life experience. Learning keeps us aware of what is going on and how to handle problems!

Replying to [Admin]: [em2] P.T. Barnum was quoted as saying "There's a SUCKER born every minute!" $1 per pixel for advertising? He is a marketing Genius. The people that bought each pixel were SUCKERS! Reminds me of the "Pet Rock" fad in the USA back in the 1970's. Somebody put a rock in a little cardboard cage and sold them all across the USA. Your Pet Rock does not eat. Needs NO water. Makes NO sounds. Just sits there and does NOTHING. YOU can have one today for $7.99! $1 Pixels and Pet Rocks were created by Genius's! [em19] refer to P.T. Barnum for the other side of the story. [em2]
