Post 1 of 4
Here are some steps a supplier said to follow using Western Union.
Please look over and let me know if there is a problem. Can I lose my money on this, if I follow the steps.

1. You will go to Western Union and put your money on a Different Name " can be a friend of yours "
2. To Receiver Address " you will keep my address "
3. After the payment was made, you will make a copy from that Western Union Payment Form, which certify the payment was made
4. After I see that apper, I will go to UPS and I will ship the goods, email you back that Tracking Number.
5. After you Receive and Check the products, then you go back to Western Union and change your friend name with my name, for can receive your money

Replying to [Ranger]: Can you give me some more information as to why you think it is a scam. So I will know what to look for.

Or is it better to stay away from companies that use Western Union?

It's a common scammer trick to ask people to send the transfer to a different name, as if this would mean it can't be picked up. They can pick it up anyway, with only little information about the transfer, even in another country if they choose to. There is no safe way to pay with WU, you should only use it with someone you know you can trust.
