I think that reliability is key to long term relationships. If you can actually do what you promise that you can do then you will find that customers appreciate being able to avoid the hassles of dealing with your competitors who are always making excuses as to why they failed to do something. Customers do not want to hear excuses as to why something couldn't be done - they want to hear that has been done!
