you could handle different regions - like you could be in charge of USA market, your other colleague Europe and so on, If you receive any enquiries not belonging to your region than pass it on to your relevant colleague and hope everyone will be happy with this arrangement.

This is a method which usually used by companies in Shenzhen as I know. But there is a disadvantage, that is there may be a sales person who is not able to exploit the market he/she is in charge of, and another sales person who with strong exploitation ability just can go into it...

So I think we can use this method only if we have had many clients in every region we divided into.

In my opinion, the key issue here is communication. As long as sales rep work together and communicate efficiently, this shouldn't usually be a problem

i think there should have customer database in your company, that include info which salesperson responsible for which customers, when you find a "new" customer, just go to that database and search.

Replying to [Ted Wang]:It is duty of the manager to look into the database of the customers so that no two people of the same company are dealing with same customer.Every Sales executive shpuld prepare a log sheet of the customer name, country which will be checked against the available database on a weekly basis. The other way is use networking, ask a networking company to control all incoming and outgoing e-mails from your company server. That will help as well.

You should set up a database in your server. Dell Asia Pacific does this. There is an entire huge factory used as a call center in Penang, Malaysia. They have hundreds of tele marketing people calling the entire Asia Pacific customer not only to companies but to individual as well. They employed people who can speak in diferrent language and they even have huge flags to represent the country their department handle

Once they got a potential customer they have to check in the database if any of their colleague has contacted the client. If not they will register the new potential under thir name and this client belong to them.
