Just enquiries but no orders: what should I do?

You know most of the customer send the enquiry just want to know the price of the products. When they get the price, they won't contact with u.

I know  they may have already had their regular supplier,  they won't send us the order.

So what should I do when I meet this problem? Also how should I judge a real customer?[em4]

I think it's difficult to verify which one is real customer, just treat all of them same, reply them in time, quote your possible best price, maybe some of them will interest with you, maybe will order from your company, it's not a good way to verify which will be not a real client, & then treat them rude.

Replying to [Shufen jie]I agreed. Some of these groups like me are agent. If the client doesn’t think the price make sense, there no way they willing to buy from you.

So give them your best price.

well we are actually in a "buyer's Market" so what we have to do is suppliment the best, be a little patience and really hope for the best..in my case 27 quotation went out to 27 customers. I manage to close 3.. taht good enough[em3]

I got many enquiries from alibaba. But less client buy product from me at present. I think maybe so many supplier here, and not so many buyer here, one really client can make a selection from 10 suppliers or more.

The prospect is always there. The inquiry itself suggest the Genuinity about Buyer. The inquiry which reflects to the point (without any boast/ possible Ordersize) with Payment Terms and Destination in 4-5 lines is chances to convert more your efforts in the success.
